TomTom One
I absolutely LOVE my in-car GPS. The first time I ever used it, it was one of those rare technology moments where I knew what I was experiencing with me would be a part of my travels for the rest of my life. My GPS is the TomTom One. I travel extensively with it, mainly to areas where I've never been before and have no familiarity with the roads (chiefly the Southeast region of the US).
My favorite aspect of this GPS is that it makes road trips fun and easy- more like 'touring' than the stressful, 'here to there' map navigation nightmares that they used to be. I think that the map technology could stand to be improved a bit; there are times where it occasionally misses the 'most efficient' route, but overall, the TomTom One has been an absolute gem. If mine broke tonight, I would have another one by morning.
