Garmin Nüvi 200
I have a Garmin - nüvi 200 GPS - its Great. I use it daily. I never get lost and always make great timing. You can download directions with USB cable right from your home computer. There are short cut options for bad weather or heavy traffic, even if you want to avoid the tolls. If you need gas fast or some food a local search in the area you're in comes in very handy. Also great for long or short trips! I love to travel and explore!
You can also download special character voices for some fun. I think GPS systems are the next best thing to cell phones. I have not yet had any problems with mine and highly recommend everyone to get one especially if you love to do road trips or have a job that requires a lot of driving!

I purchased a Garmin nuvi 200 for Christmas 2007. Automotive GPS receivers had dropped below US$200 and it was time for me to complement my handheld GPS receiver with an automotive unit. I have been very pleased with the nuvi. I use it to guide me during highway trips to sporting events as well as to guide me through neighborhoods to geocaches.
My Magellan handheld was very slow to calculate routes and offered few options. On the other hand, the nuvi 200 calculates routes in a matter of seconds and can recalculate if I miss a turn or stray from the route. It can also avoid highways and toll roads if I want. The touchscreen is responsive and the user interface is easy to understand. The unit was usable right out of the box.
Battery life is good at approximately 5 hours. The one thing I wish my nuvi 200 did was speak the name of roads. Text-to-speech is available on more expensive models, but I wish that feature would filter down to the inexpensive models."

I have a Garmin Nuvi 200 and I absolutely love it. I recently moved to a new city and am naturally not very good with directions so my GPS is a life saver. It's easy to use and extremely fast so I never get lost. I've taken it with me every time I've gone out of town, whether it's just an hour away to St. Petersburg or cross-country to Chicago.
The only slight improvement I would make would be to have the satellite upload quicker when switching between cities or states. Sometimes the slow acclimation from one city to another between uses can prove to be a little inconvenient as I have to sit and wait for it to upload before I can go anywhere.
Overall this is a great product and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes to travel or just isn't great wtih directions. It's a must have for me now and I never leave home without it!

My husband and I own a Garmin Nuvi 200 that we purchased from Amazon about a year ago. We love it! Its so easy to use and to find wherever we need to go. He keeps it with him or in his vehicle most of the time. Since I live and work in the same town, I don't often need it - but when I do I grab it. I've used it for a whole day unplugged and never had the battery run out. I love that we can charge it in the car or in the house (via the computer). This past summer, on a very hot day, we were away from home and craving Frozen Cokes. All we needed to do was use our Garmin Nuvi to look up Burger Kings and it gave us a list in order from which one was closest to us at that moment. We recommend this GPS to everyone!

I've got a Garmin nuvi 200 GPS. The best thing about it is the voice navigation system. My kids call her "the lady" since I picked a voice with a British accent. She gives a couple of notices of upcoming turns before they happen and it waits a few seconds after you've made the turn to give you the next direction. I use it all the time in the eastern and northeastern US. It never leaves my glove box. Garmin could improve the nuvi 200 by providing a way to display lat/long coordinates in real time or a way to connect the device to a PC for logging. Though you can access coordinate snapshots, this isn't a GPS for geocaching. It's very much an automotive navigation GPS.
